The border war between China and Vietnam began in 1979 and lasted for over a decade. The two countries have since worked to improve their diplomatic and economic ties, although they remain in dispute over political and territorial issues in the South China Sea (or East Sea).
When did Russia stop being communist?

The Marxist-Leninist states are a group of countries that follow the Marxist-Leninist ideology, a Communist political system based on the ideas of Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin. These states have been in existence for over seventy years, and include China, Cuba, Laos, and Vietnam.
The CCP believes that private capitalists and entrepreneurs can exist alongside public and collective enterprises, but that the party must retain control over the direction of the country in order to maintain its socialist development. This has been the party’s position since it came to power in 1949.

Kim Jong Un is not a communist.
It is difficult to say definitively whether or not Kim Jong Un is a communist. However, it is clear that he espouses many of the same ideals and values as the communists who have come before him. He is a leader who is unafraid to consolidate power and who enjoys the adoration of his people. Whether or not he is a true communist, he is certainly someone who believes in the principles of communism.
